Poppy Luard
After working on the fantastical visual landscapes of Tim Burton for Corpse Bride, Wes Anderson for Fantastic Mr Fox, and on 12 time Emmy nominated TV series Watchmen for HBO, Poppy turned her hand to screenwriting, and in 2021, won the Zoetrope Screenplay competition as judged by Francis Ford Coppola for her screenplay Carême. This background in art direction informs a visually arresting directorial style. Her debut film Celestial starring Natasha O'Keeffe and Francesca Corney will be released later in the year.

Eve James
Eve began her career working with a community of over 70,000 business founders for the UK Ambassador for Creative Small Businesses, giving her a unique insight into how to successfully scale independent, creative companies. Followed by an extensive background in national media, Eve pivoted her focus to the film space, meeting her creative partner Poppy Luard whilst developing a TV series pilot through Curtis Brown. In 2024, Eve produced Celestial in the Grade II-listed Control Room A at Battersea Power Station.

Flora MacAngus
Flora is responsible for the financial operations of Artful Films, including production oversight, investment strategy and the company’s development slate. A Cambridge graduate with over five years’ experience in managing creative businesses spanning film and live performance with a particular focus on independent content. She hails from the Channel Islands and has a dedication to the Islands involvement in film and its own flourishing industry. Her robust network within this locale contributes to expanding Artful’s global reach and commercial success.
